After a messy public breakup and reconciliation, do 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way’s Tiffany and Ronald have plans to live in the same country soon?
Tiffany and Ronald Smith, who starred on the first season of 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way, have an unconventional marriage. Ronald remains in his native South Africa, while Tiffany lives in America with the couple’s children. But does the pair have a plan to live in the same country soon?
The 90 Day Fiancé stars met while Tiffany was on vacation in South Africa. After dating long-distance, the couple then tied the knot there. Tiffany and her son Daniel (from a previous relationship) intended to relocate permanently to South Africa. However, due to safety concerns, Tiffany ultimately decided to move back to the United States with Daniel. After moving back to America, Tiffany gave birth to her first child with Ronald, a daughter named Carley Rose. Unfortunately, Ronald was unable to be present for the birth of his daughter and missed her first birthday as well.

Tiffany and Ronald have long struggled to decide where to permanently reside as a family. Tiffany and her son initially moved to South Africa because Ronald’s criminal record prevented him from being granted a K-1 fiancé visa. Ronald was previously arrested for armed robbery, drug possession, and other charges resulting from his gambling addiction. When Tiffany decided to return to America to ensure a better life for her children, Ronald wasn’t sure whether he wanted to relocate to the States. In late 2019, Tiffany and Ronald announced their intention to begin the CR-1 Spousal Visa process, so Ronald could join his wife and kids in America. The family was separated until they were finally reunited over Christmas in 2020. Both Tiffany and Ronald shared sweet snapshots of their kids enjoying the holiday, including a photo of the family of four with the simple caption “Family.”
Despite spending the holidays together, it seems Tiffany and Ronald are still residing in different countries as they wait for Ronald’s spousal visa to be approved. However, Ronald was grateful for the time the family was able to spend together, captioning a photo collage of him and his children: “No it’s not old pictures… but just wanted to show everyone how blessed i [sic] am to be with my family and to be able to spend such a happy time with them…”
But how long can Tiffany and Ronald sustain their long-distance marriage? Ronald has made numerous Instagram posts showing his love for his children and lamenting the fact that he was separated from them. The couple also went through a messy public breakup in January 2020 amid allegations that Tiffany had cheated on Ronald. Ronald later recanted his accusations and the couple reconciled a few months later.
